Day 1 : Arrive New Delhi
Arrival at Delhi. Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel. Later start your exploration of India with a city tour of Old Delhi that includes visit to Jama Masjid, built in 1650 A.D. and the amazing Red Fort which was the seat of Mughal Empire for more than 250 years. Also enjoy shopping the ancient bazaar of Chandni Chowk. Then drive past the imposing India Gate, Parliament Buildings and President House. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 : Delhi - Kalka - Shimla (By Train/Road)
Early morning transfer to Railway station to catch train for Kalka. Arrival at Kalka station and proceed to Shimla, former summer Capital of British India and now a capital of Himachal Pradesh, set amidst the snow capped shivalik mountain ranges offering some stunning views of the mighty Himalayas.
Day 3 : Shimla
Morning visit Kufri, a 30 Minutes drive from Shimla, an exotica of nature as a place surrounded by dense forest and snow caped mountains amidst virgin peaks and natures flora and fauna. Later take a walking tour of Shimla and visit Jakhoo hills which offers panoramic view of Shimla town. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4 : Shimla - Manali
After breakfast , departure for Manali which is a beautiful hill resort and known for lovely sight scenes, Manali is located at altitude of 1929 Mtrs / 6327 ft above sea level. Arrival at Manali and check in at hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 5 : Manali
Morning visit 400 years old Pagoda Temple of Hadimba Devi and old Manali to see the Manu temple. Afternoon visit Vaishisht hot sulper spring bath. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6 : Manali - Sarchu
Morning leave for Sarchu en-route visiting Rohtang pass (3978 Mtrs). Here, one sees the majesty of the mountains at its height and splendour. Continue drive and reach Keylong, the head district in this area and then continue drive towards Sarchu. Arrive Sarchu and check in camps for overnight stay.
Day 7 : Sarchu - Leh
Leave for Leh. Pass through Nakeela and Lachangla Pass 16,617 ft. Continue drive to Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (Biggest and Highest Plateau on Earth on Stretch of 42 Kms), Tanglang La Pass 17,585ft and Indus Valley. Arrive Leh and check in at hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8 : Leh
Full day excursion to visit Thiksey and Hemis monasteries. It is quite interesting to visit the Thicksey monastery early in the morning to see praying ceremony. Also visit one of the biggest monasteries of Leh “Hemis”. On the way back visit Shey Palace. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 9 : Leh - Saspol
After breakfast leave for Saspol enroute visit Likir gompa. Lunch at camp. Pm: Visit Alchi gompa and village. Dinner and overnight at Hotel. Dinner and overnight at River banks camping resort.
Day 10 : Saspol - Lamayuru - Leh
After early breakfast leave for Lamayuru (66 kms / 2 hrs approx) with box lunch. Visit monastery and retrace the route back to Leh (128 kms / 4 hrs approx). Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 11 : Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardung
Early morning drive from Leh to Nubra (7 hrs. Drive approx). The Nubra valley lies in the north of Leh and is accessible over the Khardungla (5570 M) - The highest motorable road in the world. Apart from unparalleled trekking opportunities the valley houses several Monasteries such as sumur (khagar) and 350 years old Dikshit Gompa, famous for its Murals.From Khardungla Drive to village of Khardung and through starkly beautiful country side to the TCP at khalsar where permits have to be registered/checked. Arrive at Tegar Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12 : Nubera
Visit sumur, Kyagar, Panamik hot water spring, Samasthanling, Tirith and surroundings.
Day 13 : Nubera - Leh
After breakfast visit Diskit and Hunder gompas. Later proceed back to Leh (172 kms). Overnight in Hotel Golden Continental.
Day 14 : Leh
After breakfast visit Stok Palace and museum. Return to Leh enroute visiting SOS Tibetan Refugee camp at Choglamsar. Lunch at hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 15 : Leh - Delhi
Morning after an early breakfast at the hotel transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. Meeting on arrival at Delhi Airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free to relax of self exploration of this capital city of India. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 16 : Delhi
Transfer to the airport in time to board homebound flight.
